CANANDAIGUA, NY – DIRTVision’s extensive lineup of premier tracks is adding one of New York’s finest in 2023 with Land of Legends Raceway joining the catalog.
The Canandaigua, NY track’s weekly racing will be broadcast live on DIRTVision – and simulcast on Land of Legends Raceway TV – starting with its season-opener in April, highlighted by DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds.
“We’re excited to grow DIRTVision’s footprint in the Northeast, giving fans another avenue to see their favorite regional divisions when they can’t make it to the track and showcase them to fans around the world,” said Jim Chiappelli, DIRTVision general manager.
Land of Legends has already had a strong presence on DIRTVision with its fan favorite Super DIRTcar Series events. They’ll return in 2023 with the Stars and Stripes event on July 3 and the SummerFAST finale on Aug. 16.
The longtime DIRTcar member track will celebrate its 70th anniversary this season with special paying Big Block Modified events on April 22, June 3 and Sept. 2. Along with the Super DIRTcar Series events, fans can watch several of the Series stars like Matt Sheppard, Peter Britten, Erick Rudolph and Tim Fuller compete against track veterans Alan Johnson, Danny Johnson and defending track champion Justin Haers.
“Our goal with Land of Legends TV from the start was to take our Saturday night stars and their sponsors and make them household names all over the country,” said Land of Legends Raceway promoter Paul Cole.
“Teaming up with DIRTVision only strengthens that commitment and will bring our exciting show to viewers all over the world. We feel DIRTVision subscribers will love what we bring to the table.”
In addition to Big Block Modifieds, weekly racing at Land of Legends also features the toughest weekly field of DIRTcar Sportsman, 305 Sprint Cars, Street Stocks and Hobby Stocks.

The weekly ticket prices in 2021 at LOLR remain $15 Adults, $13 Seniors, Kids under 16 FREE. For those youngsters needing pit access, Child Season Pit Passes are $30 for 2 & Under and $150 for kids 3-14. Camping is FREE at all race events. Land of Legends Raceway is located at the Ontario County Fairgrounds, east of the city on Town Line Road (County Road 10), with easy access off either Exit 43 (Manchester, Route 21 South) or Exit 44 (Farmington, Route 332 South) of the New York State Thruway, just ½-hour southeast of Rochester.

With Haers capturing the Pepsi Big-Block Modified Championship at Land Of Legends Raceway, the time is near to recognize track titlists in the Speed Connection Sportsman, Mike Emhof Motorsports 305 Sprint Car, Eldredge & Sons Scrap Recycling Street Stock and Lloyd’s Contracting Hobby Stock divisions. The final regular-season double-points event is slated for Sept. 4 when Emerson Oil Company/Castrol presents Season Championship Night for those four classes with a non-point “Open” Big-Block/Small-Block Modified Invitational joining the show.
A complete card is on tap for the first of three ‘Saturday Spectaculars’ scheduled in September, with a Waterloo Softball Team Benefit raffle held during the event. Hot lap sessions kick off the show at 5:30pm and heat race qualifiers go green at 6:30pm. Pit gates open at 3:30pm and spectators gain admittance into the Ontario Co. Fairgrounds main grandstands at 5 o’clock.

FULL-FENDER FRENZY FILLS EARLY FALL CALENDAR
While the mighty Big-Block Modified, Sportsman and Sprint Car open-wheel teams will be away, the Sept. 11 slate remains jam-packed as Howell Properties, LLC presents ‘Full Fender Frenzy’ at the fairgrounds. Top area Street Stockers and Rush Late Model campaigners will be contending for $1,000 top prizes in their 30-lap main events while $750 is on the line for both Hobby Stock and 4-Cylinder winners.
Named in memory of past LOLR Pro Stock champion and driver of the sleek Top Gun #1 machine, reigning track points king Pangrazio will be out to score a third straight title race win in the 10th Les Whyte Top Gun Shootout for Street Stocks. WNY star Dave Schulz claimed the inaugural event in 1999.
On that historic day look for a special on-track tribute to area service men & women as well as our very own LOLR safety crew in a festive pre-race send-off. Fans are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in support and remembrance of those that were lost that tragic day 20 years ago.
